Delicious

Have just successfully worked out delicious and tags. I can see it could be a very useful tool to be able to access your book marks from any computer. I often get home and would like to access a site easily that someone mentioned at work.

wow I did import a video

Obviously it takes some time to get a video from you tube to appear in yuor blog. This Cat Stevens clip was about the 4th video I attempted then I just left it alone for a couple of days. So I'm happy now that it can be done.
I've looked at quite a few videos and can see how they'd be useful to promote your library. I particularly liked " Zombies At the Library" very funny

you tube

I 'd love to see more you tube about library storytimes, just the few I looked at show me that we are on the right track here at our library. Maybe all NSW public libraries could put up their storytime videos, ( obviously with permission from parents) and we could get ideas from one another, instead of trying to reinvent the wheel nearly every time we come up with a new storytime theme.

more on wikis

Have just edited and contributed to a wiki, awesome. I really enjoyed the library wiki partic. other people's views of life as a library assistant. Working part time it's hard to do this training but when I get to it it's been very good

wikis

Well have finally got to week about wikis. I can see they'll prove to be very useful as a sharing and learning tool , both in the workplace and if you were studying. I particularly enjoyed the Princeton Library wiki which included book reviews. Admittedly most of the reviews seemed to be about American books but of course you'd expect this.
There was one review of a book that I really liked myself " Julie And Julia" by Julie Powell.
This is the story of how a girl in USA tries to make all the recipes in one year from one of Julia Childs famous cook books. Unfortunately the language is very off puting, she reaches for the F****** whisk, etc on nearly every page! The reviewer on the Princeton wiki didn't mention this fact.
